My name is Steve Marshall. I’m a UK based cinematographer. I’m usually found in London but have been known pop up in places all over the world pointing a camera at things.
I’ve been a cinematographer for over five years now. I’ve been lucky enough to win awards for my work. My work has been in competition in Venice, Berlin, Cannes, Camerimage and many more around the world. In 2010 I won Best Student Cinematographer at the Kodak Awards for the film Eternal Life. I was also one of four people selected to take part in an international film programme which had more than five hundred applicants.
Cinematography is my passion and I’m so thankful that I’m able to do it for a living. I’ve shot all types of projects from documentaries to music videos and short dramas to motor racing promos. I’ve shot on pretty much every camera there is too. Alexa, Epic, DSLR’s, F35, F3, FS100, AF100 and the new C300. Can’t forgot the old Aaton XTR Prod and Arri SR-2 and SR-3. I feel that I’m capable of creating gorgeous images from any of these cameras. So whatever the budget of your production, there’s a camera I can use that’ll do the job.
Oh, and I really like a cold beer at the end of the day.
